Ziplining began in the ’70s in Costa Rica when rainforest researchers did not want to disturb the vast wildlife that exists on the ground of the forest.  They built platforms and attached cables to trees so that they could move around the forest with the smallest footprint possible.  Although researching in the rainforest is serious business, it’s hard not to smile when you are flying through the treetops like a bird.

This same intention is applied to ziplining tourism today.  It is one of the best ways to tour a part of the world without leaving anything permanent behind. No need to dig up trees or bring in big equipment to make a facility.  See the land in its natural state without making a lasting impact on that land. Maui Ziplines are a great way to see Maui while having fun!
