Never thought I’d be floating in pitch black water at night, but wow – what an experience. Spotted 8 mantas, including one massive one they called “Big Bertha” that must’ve been 12 feet wide. My favorite moment was when a manta did a perfect backflip right below me. The prescription mask they provide really made a difference – I could see everything crystal clear without my glasses.

It’s a bit intimidating at first, snorkeling in the dark, but the experience is beyond worth it. The rays come so close that you can almost touch them (but don’t, of course!). The crew did a great job keeping everything organized. I’d do this again in a heartbeat!

This last weekend I had the pleasure of going on your manta dive! The affect of being so close to these graceful giant creatures has CHANGED ME! No joke. I may come back to the Big Island specifically just to do this with you again.

It was a breathtaking experience to witness them swimming in their natural habitat. The water was crystal clear and our boat gave us plenty of time to observe these majestic creatures up close. We even got to see them feed on plankton as they glided through the ocean in arching circles.
