The Ritz luau in Kapalua felt very polished without losing the authentic feel. The chanting and hula storytelling was beautiful, then it rampde up with aerial stuff and a legit fire-knife finale. My meal was the surprise win: the build-your-own poke station (ahi, tako, veggie options, lots of toppings) was so good we went back twice, and it didn’t feel like “generic hotel buffet.”

It’s definitely a splurge, and one of the more expensive meals. Bring a light jacket too, even though you’re sort of indoors, it’s open-air.

We splurged on the private Oahu helicopter tour and it was 100% a pinch me hour. Having it be just our group and the the pilot made it feel way more exclusive, and everyone actually got a window seat. We did doors off (no extra charge) and wow… insane views, but also LOUD and windy, hold onto your phone like your life depends on it (they give you holders that attach to you.) Flying over Waikiki and Diamond Head was cool, but the real “holy crap” moment was Jurassic Valley + Sacred Falls, then seeing the North Shore and Pearl Harbor from above. A

Absolutely unreal. Laying on the raft and having these giant rays swoop inches under you felt like something out of a movie.

Cold at the top, so layer up! Once we started riding, though, it was fun. Long, winding roads and insane views. it was a little sketchy but cool.

Seeing the lava fields in person was so surreal. The Big Island feels totally different from the other islands.

Just wow. The cliffs are absolutely insane and snorkeling near them felt like something out of a dream. No snorkeling will ever beat this!

Didn’t think we’d actually see whales from a kayak but we totally did! Being that close to one was crazy. We didn’t expect them to come right up to us.
