Hiking through National Parks is one of my favorite things and destinations. Breathtaking views of this very unique place made it a standout for me. It looks like another planet! Definitely not for a weak hiker or the elderly.

This hike I highly recommend to anyone looking for an adventure on Maui. From start to finish, the Haleakala hike had stunning scenery and challenging terrain in equal measure. IGreat way to immerse yourself in nature.

The hikse themselves are absolutely spectacular, with breathtaking views all around you and a variety of terrain, from flat paths to rocky inclines. The overall difficulty level was moderate to strenuous, but there were plenty of stops along the way for rest and refueling, which made it manageable. My husband had a little more trouble with it than I did, so I think we’d do a mellower one next time.

The scenery is incredible with vast landscapes and colorful flora (didn’t expect that on moon surfaces) and native birds. The weather during our hike was perfect: sunny but not too hot. Again, I thought it would be colder.

This was the perfect thing to do with my group. We came together on vacation and are all most likely a little more adventurous than most tourists. We wanted to see what others don’t see while getting some exercise. These hikes make the trip for me! I’ll be back.

I didn’t expect to be getting much exercise while on vacation, but I’m glad I did this hike. They took us to some beautiful views. It was the perfect way to work off our jetlag and prepared for sitting at the pool for the rest of our stay.

Recommend you? YES! That was an entirely unique and highly memorable day I won’t be forgetting. We’ve been to Maui numerous times over the last decade, and this was far superior to visiting the summit of Halekala on a tour without hiking. We went to 2 different trails and escaped all the people. True peace! I’ll book you again when we come next. Thank you so much!
