The Big Island is indeed BIG! I planned ahead and we stayed at three different locations. First in Kona, then at the Volcano National Park, and finally in Waikoloa. We were there for 14 days and pushed hard yet I saw only 1 percent of the things that I planned on seeing/doing. The snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay was awesome and the rigid rafter ride out to the bay a total blast.
I only spent one day on Kauai but that was more than enough to fall in love with it and especially the people.
Come to think of it why am I not making reservations instead of sitting here and pining my heart away as I remember all of the wonders I’ve seen on the Hawaiian Islands and all of those that are yet to come!
