The show tells the story of young Moea, who falls into a magical slumber beneath the enchanted Kapa Moe blanket. Through her dreams, guests follow an unforgettable journey across Hawaiian mythology and legend. This innovative production sets itself apart by seamlessly blending traditional storytelling with contemporary theatrical elements, including aerial acrobatics and dramatic fire knife performances. The attention to detail shows in every aspect, from the live Hawaiian chanting to the handcrafted authentic costumes worn by the performers.

A Culinary Celebration

The culinary experience matches the show’s premium quality. The Ritz-Carlton Maui’s talented culinary team has crafted a sophisticated take on traditional luau favorites, starting with a custom poke station where guests can build their own bowls using fresh ahi tuna, kimchi tako (octopus), or vegetarian options with an array of bases and toppings. The main course selection features a whole roasted pig prepared in a Caja China, macadamia nut-crusted fresh catch, Asian-braised beef short ribs, and North Shore-style garlic shrimp. Local side dishes include Molokai sweet potatoes with citrus coconut glaze and wok-fired island vegetables, ensuring every plate offers an authentic taste of Hawaii.

Premium Bar Experience

Throughout the evening, guests enjoy included premium beverages from the bar. The signature Kapalua Mai Tai leads a drink menu that includes Blue Hawaiians crafted with Tito’s Vodka, local craft beers, selected wines, and fresh tropical mocktails.

Seating Options

For seating, guests can choose between two excellent options. The Ali’i Premium Seating provides an exclusive experience with spots in the first two rows near the stage, early entry at 5:15 PM, a specialty lei greeting, and priority access to the buffet stations. The ‘Ohana Seating offers comfortable table arrangements with excellent views of all performances and includes a traditional shell lei greeting upon arrival.

The Feast

Dinner is served at your table family-style in three courses. Remember there are 3 courses, because most guests go big on the first, considering what they offer.  Course One – ahi poke, poi, cured beef, squid luʻau, Hamakua mushroom salad, and grilled ʻulu salad.  Course Two – black pepper Kauaʻi prawns, kalua pig, pūlehu ribeye (this dish BLEW OUR MINDS), locally caught fresh fish, Moloka’i sweet potatoes, and edamame fried rice.   Course Three –  haupia tarts, Molokaʻi sweet potato cheesecake, and flourless chocolate cake.  The bar is equally impressive.  Your server is attentive, but you can always go to the bar if you don’t want to get up.  If you do, and there are a few people there, the Andaz Luau has self-serve Maui Brewing Co. beers, too.  The cocktails they made were probably the best we’ve had at any luau on Maui.  High-quality ingredients are served in a glass with plenty of kick.  If anything, the food and drink are worth the price difference.

The Show

The show is performed by the good people of Tihati, so you know it’s good.  Beautiful hula, powerful music, and the legendary story told by masters.  You’ll love every moment but won’t be pressured into coming on stage or watching every moment.  Though the backdrop is so stunning, you’ll never see a luau performance the same again, so pay attention!  And, of course, the fire-knife dancing will wow you for the finale.  Remember that there are few tables, so you’ll get a great view and have excellent photo opportunities.  This Maui luau is widely regarded as the best on Maui.
