Randy,
Just wanted to thank you again! My daughters and I really enjoyed the waterfall and rainforest hikes. The next day at breakfast our hotel served some of the fruits we had seen growing in the wild! We also stopped at the restaurant you recommended, Manana Garage in Kahului, and had a great time. The owner is originally from Florida. Mahalo!!

Hi Randy, We made it back to SoCal. I want to thank you for the great time. The whole family really had a good time and enjoyed the hike, the history, cultural, geography and botany lessons along the way. Take care and we'll see you next time.

Dear Randy,
I have been shell-shock since we got home. Betweeen missing Hawaii and having company from Germany(my daughter's exchange family) I have not had time to write and thank you for a great day. Hope I didn't hold you up too much in being a "slow" hiker! We so enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again when we save enough to return to Hawaii. Take care of yourself. Many thanks.

Hi Randy, just wanted to say that we really enjoyed our West Maui Waterfall Hike. Randy is very knowlegable about the island in general and taught us much about the plant life we encountered. He was very careful about our safety and was very friendly. Most of all we had a great time seeing the wonderful aspects of the "hidden" Maui that we never knew existed. Thanks Randy for a memorable day. We will certainly book again with you when we come back. Sincerely.

Hi Randy-- Just a note to thank you for the great hike last week that my son, Adam & me went on with you in Maui. We really enjoyed it. Thanks for being patient with me (for not being a very expereinced hiker across streams & rocks) & being SLOW! Best wishes to you & your fiance & enjoy your trip to Costa Rica!

You took my girlfriend Christina and I on the"Full Day Waterfall Hike." We were recently discussing (reliving?) the hike and wanted to let you know that it was without question the most memorable day we spent on our vacation. Your seemingly endless knowledge regarding the island and your excellently planned route made for an experience that we will never forget. Thanks for making our vacation truly one of the best times we have ever had. When we make it back to Maui we will definitely be interested in taking another hike.

Hi Randy !
Just wanted to say thanks for the fun hike on thursday. Can't wait to get the pictures back. I will be sure to recommend you to anyone I know who is planning a trip to Maui.

Randy,
Thanks for the great morning of hiking. After arriving home from eight days in paradise I was delighted to hear my teenage children tell their friends your narration and guiding was one of the highlights of their trip! I think you really offer a great opportunity, just let the world know about it. Best wishes for a prosperous future and we will definitely look you up when we come back.

The day before our hike, my wife and I explored the general area we would be hiking by car and found it to be breathtaking. However, it was not until the day of our hike that our guide, Randy Warner, was able to lead us away from the paved roads and crowded beaches to a refreshingly undisturbed wilderness rain forest hike through the West Maui Mountains, leading up to a 30 foot waterfall. The previous day we did not realize the hidden beauty of the area that we were only skimming through by car. Unbeknownst to us, we actually even drove by the trailhead we were to hike and had no clue it was there. Additionally, Randy supplied us with an informative narrative ranging from the fauna and flora of the ecological environment to the history of the area. Finally, I found Randy to be extremely courteous of the varied hiking levels of our group and just a genuinely enjoyable companion to stroll through a unique and beautiful natural environment. He truly added value and enjoyment to our vacation. I feel lucky that I found his website and I will employ his services on any future trip to Maui.

Randy,
Just wanted to drop you a note of thanks for the wonderful guided tour of the Maui Rain Forest. The property manager at our condo was also very thankful for your business cards as she states that folks are always asking about hiking adventures. Lori and I thought that you were very instrumental in making the hike what it was, with your knowledge base of the islands history. Hope to join you again next year. Here is a couple of photos we thought you would like...Best Regards,

Dan, dannyj@chartermi.net

Randy thank you so very much for our wonderful hiking adventure. We have had the pleasure to visit Hawaii four times but had never hiked on Maui. Our day hiking trip with you was the most enjoyable adventure we have participated in while visiting the islands. We have biked, scuba dived, snorkeled, parasailed, took helicopter rides and horseback rode; however, the hike still comes out on top. Thank you again for a wonderful day. We plan to call you again when we vacation on Maui!!

The Rainforest Hike provided phenomenal views. The waterfall-laden cliffs of the surrounding valley dwarf the Needle as they stretch into the sky and are lost in the clouds. On the way to the top, we saw guava, strawberries, and awapuhi (the shampoo ginger!) growing. The waterfall hike is a phenomenal way to cool down after the rainforest hike. The apple rose trees provided shade and the water cooling from the sun. The bamboo forest was one of the day's highlights. We highly recommend both hikes. Ann Marie and Michael Van Vooren

“Hi Randy: I can tell you that to this day I have regular dreams at night about where we went and I have such a strong desire to come back soon. Anyway, I’ve been telling everybody how great a hiking guide you were/are and I have several people who will be contacting you shortly about hikes. One of my colleagues will be spending his honeymoon in Maui in mid May and he is very interested in doing a hike. I gave him your information. Thanks again for the memories of a lifetime! Ciao.”

“I forgot, I also wanted to write down something for your comment book in German. So here it is (it’s nice, don’t worry!):

‘Fuer Erinnerungen die ein Leben lang halten, kann ich jedem nur eine Wanderung in Maui empfehlen. Randy ist ein waschechter Maui-Profi der einem die unglaublich wunderschoene Natur zeigt wie sie 90% aller Turisten niemals sehen werden. Der Tagestrip ist mehr als sein Geld wert und vergisst eure Kameras bitte nicht (und Badehosen)!’”

“Dear Randy: We wanted to drop you a quick line of thanks for a wonderful time on our hike. You were a joy to spend the morning with and we especially appreciated the narratives you provided before and during the hike. Your knowledge of the trail and Hawaiian history was a great addendum to the three-mile trek which, of course, was truly a sight. This was the most affordable activity we embarked upon during our week in Maui and certainly one of the most memorable. Mahalo for a great time and we hope to see you again on our next trip to The Valley Isle!”

Dave Venneri and Roseann Albasi, Seattle, WA, DVenneri@Mariners.org

“Hey Randy - I just wanted to let you know that Judy and I truly enjoyed our rain forest hike on October 14 - you may recall it...the marathon (about 6 hours!). Our pictures came out great (I will try to e-mail some to you once scanned) and we will recommend a hike to any friends making the journey to Maui. Even some of your jokes have made it to the east coast! Thanks again - good luck in expanding your client base!!”

“Randy: Just a short note to let you know how much we enjoyed our hike with you. You took my wife, Deb, and I on a personalized tour thru the bamboo forests of West Maui on 2/26. It was definitely one of the highlights of out trip. Hope to see you again on our next visit to Maui.”

“Dear Randy: I am now safely back on ‘the mainland’ (if you consider New York City part of the mainland), and I just wanted to thank you again for the fabulous rainforest hike you took us on September 9th. The sights, the smells, and the view were fantastic, and the whole experience totally changed my life. If you ever have reason to be in NYC, please feel free to get in touch!”

Diane Treon, New York, NY, treon@amnh.org?

“Dear Randy, Thank you so much for giving us what was truly the best hike we have ever taken. Ever. And thanks for the advice about going around the back way through Kapalua (back to Lahaina) because of the fire. It saved us about 7 hours of sitting in the car. Although Aviva was a bit tense about traveling that little road at night. But we made it. Anyway, I just wanted to take the time to thank you once again. I also noticed on your web page here that you have a ‘comments’ section and I would be more than happy to lend my name to your outstanding product. I read them all and think I can add a few things that will do you justice. Just email me back and let me know. Anything for a fellow U of A grad. :-) ‘Da best kine hike Bra....Mahalo’”
